National NASP Championship Tournament – May 9-10, 2014

Louisville, Kentucky

National Team in Louisville

The National NASP Championship Tournament is May 9-10, 2014 in Louisville, Kentucky.  State champions and top teams from all around the United States gather with friends/family, demonstrate their archery skills and compete for top awards and scholarships.  School teams also raise support for the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.  In 2013, Mount Vernon was the top national fundraiser by donating over $1000.

The Mount Vernon Archery Club is unique in that it helps develop a team and family itinerary for their trip to nationals, including charter coach transportation, hotel reservations, team meals, all tournament plans, local educational/entertainment events and attending the national awards ceremony.  Both Chuck and Chris Hallier have planned very well organized, engaging and fun itineraries for the club. In 2013, Mount Vernon was the ONLY Iowa school to bring archers in all 3 team divisions.  The elementary team placed 5th in the nation!
