Archery

To qualify for a Mustang Award / Letter a student must…

  • At least two years participation on a high school team.

  • Participation on a team should be defined as a student in the 9th – 12 grade at Mount Vernon High School.

  • Attending 90-100% of practices/events scheduled for year(s) of eligibility for award.

  • Qualifying for State shoots in two years and competing in those state shoots without disqualification

  • Eligibility for the state shoot is based upon attendance, league performance, school academics and coach-ability.

  • At least one year the student-athlete’s score should be used for the total team score for at least one state archery event.

  • Student receives Letter (if not already lettered in another area) and an archery pin.
  • Additional bars for 2nd and 3rd year may be earned: 90-100% attendance of practices/events scheduled ; Eligible and competed at state shoot
